More than just repairs, MF Sushi has undergone a complete renovation following a devastating fire last fall. The damage done to the restaurant caused the Galleria-area sushi spot to shutter for several months, during which time the space was gutted out and reconstructed. Chef/owner Chris Kinjo, the famous Atlanta and Houston restaurateur who has been traveling back and forth from that city and Houston to prepare for this reopening, has already hosted a pop-up dinner with the folks at Triniti and seems to be settling back into the local scene. Get ready to head back for another memorable omakase meal: MF Sushi is now serving lunch (weekdays only) 11:30 a.m to 2 p.m, and dinner from 5:30 p.m to 10:30 p.m. With the exception of the sushi bar, the new interior looks completely different.
