Gelato Shop Gelazzi is Now Open in the Heights

While there are already plenty of places to seek relief from the heat in the form of frozen treats, there's always room for one more. And the Heights now has a new creamery ready to satisfy your warm-weather cravings. Louie Comella and Leigh Rubino and operating partner Wayne Arnaiz's new gelato spot Gelazzi is officially open to the public. Arnaiz told Eater that their offerings will all be "made on the premises" and they they will also be serving "Italian ice, flatbreads, salads, [panini] and a full bar." He promises 40 flavors of gelato made daily, as well as specialty drinks infused with liquor. For now, however, they won't be serving any of the beer, wine or boozy concoctions until sometime at the end of this month, pending TABC licensing.

Stop in for the gelato and check out the cute, manicured patio with red umbrellas. Look for this mural to spot the new gelato shop:
