Hop Scholar Ale House Is Now Open Softly in Spring

Instead of BYOB, just-opened Hop Scholar Ale House in Spring is currently BYO-food. Since the craft beer bar is still in soft opening mode, they are pouring brews from about 30 taps but are postponing the debut of their food service until the grand opening. The soft opening hours are daily from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. (hours are tentative, check Facebook for updated times), and they welcome guests to take food from other restaurants in the meantime.

The new beer bar is located at 610 Rayford (see map at right), next to Fishplace restaurant and Smart Financial Credit Union. Currently on tap are brews from Live Oak, Rodenbach, Lone Pint, Southern Star, Karbach, Saint Arnold, North Coast Brewing Co. among other craft breweries. Check back for a full food menu once the kitchen is up and running.
