Second Downtown Location of Hearsay is Coming

Among the first wave of buzzy bars to open in downtown's Market Square area was Hearsay Gastro Lounge, which has remained successful even as several new drinkeries have opened just a stone's throw away on the Main Street super-block. Now, Hearsay is expanding its downtown footprint with a second location expected to debut at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Hearsay Discovery Green is currently projected to open by fall of this year, and is planned to include a 40-foot bar with two large wine vaults. The interior will mimic the current location's design scheme, with exposed brick walls, exposed ceilings and the same massive chandelier that's become a prominent design feature for the upscale bar.

While the new location will serve up the same assortment of craft cocktails, draft beer, and sandwiches, burgers, pastas and steaks, Hearsay Discovery Green will also likely include an exclusive list of new menu items. Nick Massad of Houston-based American Liberty Hospitality, which owns and operates the Embassy Suites Houston Downtown, said that it "will certainly be the most unique restaurant setting found in any Houston hotel, particularly in this part of downtown."
