Museum District's Bosta Will Open Softly This Thursday

Add Bosta to the list of exciting early summer debuts. With Greenway Coffee's Michelle Dinh behind the coffee program, fellow Balcor establishment Cloud 10 Creamery's Chris Leung providing desserts and renowned chef Justin Basye consulting on the menu, this coffee shop and wine bar is already attracting a lot of attention. It will be in Balcor Hospitality's new development, a massive Museum District mixed-use complex that will feature medical offices in the top floors and restaurants and cafes on the ground floor. The wait to preview the new place isn't long: According to its website, Bosta will debut with a soft opening tomorrow, Thursday (June 12) from 5 p.m. to midnight. Once its certified open, the cafe will have longer hours of 7 a.m. to midnight.

Bosta's menu consultant, Basye, formerly of now-defunct Stella Sola and the popular pop-up dinner series Les Sauvages, has already completed a list of options that includes panini, breakfast items, charcuterie and cheese boards. A few months ago, Basye told Alison Cook that he would "be working with local and American salumi and cheese purveyors, as well as making a point of including small American artisanal wine and beer makers on the menus." Basye, who was most recently at Pappas Restaurant Group, will also be the executive chef at Museum Park Cafe, a forthcoming eatery inside that same Balcor Hospitality building, expected to debut in July.
