Kenny & Ziggy's [Eric Sauseda/Groovehouse]

GALLERIA—Here's a look at the ten craziest food challenges in Texas. On the list is Galleria-area Kenny & Ziggy's, where owner Ziggy Gruber dares patrons to take on a $55, eight-decker sandwich The Zellagabetsky, made with "corned beef, pastrami, turkey, roast beef, salami, tongue, and Swiss cheese sandwich on rye bread topped with coleslaw, Russian dressing, and red sweet peppers." For a more reasonable meal, check out the restaurant's Fourth of July catering package here . [Virgin Atlantic]

WASHINGTON CORRIDOR— In honor of its namesake number, Katch 22 Restaurant & Bar will feature 22-cent martinis this Sunday (limit three per person). Plus, get $2 domestic drafts, half-price appetizers, or a $22 shareable appetizer platter which comes with a pitcher of domestic beer. This marks the launch of a monthly discount series, where the 22nd day of each month will be celebrated with a different promotion. [Eaterwire]

MIDTOWN— Tonight (June 19) beginning at 9 p.m. is the next chef pop-up dinner at Glitter Karaoke (2621 Milam). Chef Raymond Vandergaag of Batanga will be serving plenty of pork as well as beef tongue and Dutch-style pancakes for dessert. More info here. [Eaterwire]
