Renowned Houston pitmaster Patrick Feges—from Killen's Barbecue and Feges BBQ—will team up with Wesley Jurena—known for Pappa Charlies 'cue trailer—for a smoke-filled pop-up at Jackson's Watering Hole (1205 Richmond) June 28 beginning at 6 p.m. More info here. OPENING REPORT— Here's a look at new Midtown bar Sage County, which comes courtesy of Pub Fiction, Cook & Collins and Celtic Gardens owner Michael Paolucci. Drink highlights include "Mickey's malt liquor, bottles of Boone's Farm served with red Solo cups and specials on shots of Jack Daniels with a Natural Light chaser." [CM]
