After a series of old-Montrose institutions closed, some locals were quick to claim that the neighborhood would devolve into a party bar-ridden, chain restaurant-filled area. Fueling those claims was the description for the bar opening up next door to recently shuttered Lucky Burger on Richmond: Revelry on Richmond, a high-energy sports bar with frozen vodka Red Bulls on the drinks menu. It debuted to the public on Monday at the intersection of Richmond and Mandell, but it had already been dubbed a "bro bar" by some, even before it was open. That may or may not be an apt description, since the new Montrose spot features 40 rotating beers on tap, wine, specialty cocktails and a food menu that was curated by Artisans chef Michael Sanguinetti. He told Eater that he focused on farm-fresh ingredients for his menu of burgers, skillet fries and Saint Arnold beer-braised short ribs.
In addition to a full food menu, the bar will offer $5 weekly happy hour specials, two outdoor patios, bingo nights, live music and several TV screens for optimum game watching. Will the lengthy craft beer list and chef-driven food be enough to set it apart from the typical Midtown-, Washington-esque party bar? Let us know what you think if you stop by this week. (Regular hours are still pending.) Here now, see the full food and drink menus below:
