First Look at Upcoming Eatery & Event Space The Dunlavy

Yesterday we mentioned that Clark Cooper Concepts founders Charles Clark and Grant Cooper would be debuting a new private event and food place at Allen Parkway and Dunlavy. Today we learned that the upcoming establishment, The Dunlavy, will serve up a mashup of food influences from that ownership group's current restaurants: Coppa Osteria and Punk's Simple Southern Food, Ibiza, Coppa Ristorante and Brasserie 19. Those looking to host their special events will be able to rent out the 3,800-square-foot space with a 850-square-foot outdoor patio and will have any of the Clark Cooper Concepts' menus available. The space will also boast Grab and Go at The Dunlavy, a breakfast and lunch counter service area that will be open daily, featuring patio seating and free Wi-Fi.

Expected to open next summer, this collaboration with Buffalo Bayou Partnership will include kayak and canoe rentals for those seeking a scenic ride along the banks of the Buffalo Bayou. This multi-purpose facility is part of a $58 million renovation by Buffalo Bayou Partnership at the 160-acre, 2.3 mile park located between Shepherd Drive and Sabine Street.

unnamed-19.jpg"Buffalo Bayou Partnership was fortunate to secure Clark Cooper Concepts to represent us to execute the vision for the Lost Lake event concept," board chair of Buffalo Bayou Partnership Sis Johnson said. "As one of the main gateways into Buffalo Bayou Park, this area overall will offer something for every park user, whether a picnicker getting a quick bite to eat, a cyclist picking up a park map, an adventure-seeker renting a kayak, or an event planner looking for an idyllic venue to host a gathering."

Cooper said, "The fact you can go from fine dining to BBQ is what will set The Dunlavy apart. It can serve as the location for a national retail product launch, wedding or film shoot. It will be a really cool, functional space where people can get creative."

Looking ahead, Clark and Cooper are also developing September's coffee truck Mobile Mug, as well as a restaurant expansion to Austin and The Woodlands.
