A collaboration between two popular bar owners is heading to 408 Westheimer. CultureMap reports that Lowbrow owner—and Free Press Houston founder—Omar Afra and Moon Tower Inn/VoodooQueen co-owner Brandon Young are teaming up for an upcoming bar and restaurant in Montrose. Afra told CultureMap that their new establishment is going to "be a super cool hang. We're excited. We feel like, in a good way, it's going to stick out like a sore thumb in the neighborhood." While he hopes to be open by the end of this year, the building requires extensive renovations, including a full kitchen buildout. The still unnamed project (tentatively known as "Omar and Brandon's House of Giggles") will be Afra's second Houston-area establishment and Young's first venture outside of the Second Ward.
