Goro & Gun/The Modular's Josh Martinez and Paul Sedillo's fried chicken restaurant The Chicken Ranch now has a logo that looks like a cheeky reference to the original Chicken Ranch, a Central Texas bordello. The bird joint is expected to open at 6500 N. Main, where Bellissimo Ristorante once stood. That's where Sedillo and Martinez will serve up fried-to-order chicken, biscuits, a selection of craft brews curated by Flood Independent Distribution's Kyle White and champagne to complement the fried chicken. Last month Sedillo told Alison Cook that they plan on offering "low-fi food at a high-fi level."
As for the opening date, Martinez is already testing different chicken recipes. He tells Eater that he hopes to be open by fall of this year.
