It's time to vote for this year's My Table magazine Houston Culinary Awards, featuring the best places and talent from around the local food scene. This year, the mag has made it so that locals can log in via Facebook and cast their votes for the best bartenders, chefs and restaurants that have made this year in Houston dining memorable. Already among the recipients this year is the Houston Chronicle's restaurant critic Alison Cook, who will receive the "Legend of Houston Restaurants" award.
Voting for all other categories began Aug. 1 and continues until through Aug. 31. Check out the Houston Culinary Awards site to cast your ballot for the best in the Houston restaurant scene. The winners will be announced at an Oct. 5 reception held at The Houstonian Hotel, which will be hosted by Houston Public Media's St. John Flynn. Tickets for the ceremony come with a dinner prepared in part by Justin Turner (Bernie's Burger Bus), Donald Chang (Nara) and Mark Holley (Holley's) and can be purchased at the awards home page for $160 per guest.
