RIVER OAKS— Kiran's Restaurant & Bar will be serving a five course menu on September 25 to be paired with beers chosen by resident expert Justin Byers. Some of the matches include fish pakora with radish and pomegranate salad with the Buffalo Bayou summer wheat and chicken vindaloo alongside the Weekend Warrior pale ale. POP-UPS— Indie Chefs Week, the popular Austin based pop-up is hitting the road and with two Houston chefs in tow. Ryan Lachaine of Reef and owner of Fluff Bake Bar, Rebecca Masson, will be cooking three dinners in California. Two will be 12 courses menus prepared individually and for the third they will team up to prepare a 20 course meal. Tickets for the 12 course meal will run you $175 and 20 courses will cost $250. GREENSPOINT— The second outpost of Super Chicken will be opening on October 1 on Tomball Parkway. The menu will be the same as the original Super Chicken with sandwiches, salads and soups. The only difference is that the new location will be open for both lunch and dinner. [Eaterwire]
THE HEIGHTS— The Heights location of Sonoma Restaurant is hosting an even featuring the wines of John Duval who served as a winemaker at Penfolds for 29 years before starting his own winery.
