Melange Creperie, the highly sought after crepe cart in Montrose is ready to go brick-and-mortar. Houston Chronicle reports owner Sean Carroll is preparing to launch a Kickstarter campaign in February to raise funds that will go towards his dream of owning his own shop. Carroll's crepes took off shortly after opening in 2010 in front of Mango's on Westheimer and Taft, but the restaurant turned music venue plans to close March 28. As Melange Creperie readies to reach its brick-and-mortar goal, Carroll still has his sights on opening an indoor kiosk inside H-E-B Montrose Market on West Alabama, first mentioned last fall on the Montrose District website. Like many other up and coming businesses, permitting is delaying the process.
