Rejoice Coloradan expatriates! A slice of Mile-High City is coming to Houston by way of Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill reports CultureMap. The Denver-based fast-casual restaurant is setting up shop at Gateway Memorial City, with next-door neighbor Kuu and forthcoming Ogden's Pour House across the way. Considered by some as the Chipotle of Mediterranean food, Garbanzo will offer shawarma, kabobs and falafel, but the main draw will likely be its crazy hybrid entree trademarked as "falarma," with you guessed it - a cross between a shawarma and falafel. The West Houston location is expected to open in late February or March, with more locations within the city to come and in The Woodlands. Garbanzo is one of several fast-casual restaurants expanding into Houston. Earlier this year, New York City's The Halal Guys and Just Falafel announced their plans to move to the Bayou City.
