Another day, another listicle from Zagat, the nationwide guide which curates the best food and restaurants offerings in the city. This time the site compiles a list of what it thinks are Houston's best bar food items for the big game this Sunday. The take away? Only "killer bar food" can be found at city's higher end restaurants, most of which aren't the greatest of choices to watch an excitement-packed game like the Super Bowl (with the exception of The Hay Merchant and Brooklyn Athletic Club). On the list: Brooklyn Athletic Club's short-rib mac 'n' cheese; Soma Sushi's Japanese corn dog; and blue crab nachos at Brennan's of Houston. While they're all are prime choices for any other day except Super Bowl, wouldn't you prefer to go where screaming is encouraged when a team scores a touchdown? Of course you do.
