Ryan Lachaine is leaving his sous chef position at Bryan Caswell's Reef. CultureMap first reported on Lachaine's impending departure, noting that the outgoing chef will stay put in Houston after his last shift this Saturday. Lachaine reveals he's working on a project that calls for his full attention. What that project may be is unknown at this time. Wherever Lachaine lands, you can rest assure it will be noteworthy. Prior to Reef, the talented cook was the former executive sous chef at Chris Shepherd's Underbelly. Lachaine was also inducted into the prestigious 2013 class of Eater Young Guns.
