Good news for fans of Austin-based chain Pluckers Wing Bar, the chicken wing restaurant is expanding its presence in the Houston market. A popular location for University of Texas students, the Hill Country import opened its first Houston bar November 2013, much to the delight of homesick Austinites. Featuring wings served with 16 different sauces including Dr. Pepper, the chain is laying down more roots in the Bayou City.
According to this job posting on Craigslist, Pluckers is opening a location near Memorial City at 10407 Katy Freeway which last housed 59 Diner. Another restaurant is set to open in Pasadena at 3367 East Sam Houston Parkway South too. No word on when both locations will open just yet. The trend of Austin bars and restaurants migrating to Houston (and opening more locations) doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. While Houston is happy to have places like Pluckers, Uchi, The Dogwood, VERTS, Snap Kitchen, Amy's Ice Cream and Torchy's Taco, we'd be over the moon if Ramen Tatsu-ya would follow suit as well.
