Houston Writers, Bloggers and Publicists Share Most-Missed Closures

John Nova Lomax, author and writer with Texas Monthly:
Felix's on Kirby and Felix's on Westheimer for the cheese enchiladas. Las Cazuelas on Fulton at Quitman because of the nachos compuestos. (And the margaritas they served me at 14.) The Hofbrau for steaks and their salad dressing. Dirty's for big chicken-frieds.

Lisa Gochman, FEED TX marketing director and publicist:
I would have to say the old old school La Strada for its amazing bellini's and a great Sunday Funday.
Oh and Mama's Cafe for the migas!

Farrah Akhtar, Yelp marketing director:
Bosa in Downtown. It was THE spot for mojitos and Latin tunes.

Kimberly Park, Kimberly Parks Communications marketing director and publicist:
Hawthorn ... amazing pasta dishes by Riccardo Palazzo-Giorgio ... and his extraordinary rosemary panna cotta too!

Shirley Barr, owner of Shirley Barr Public Relations:
I miss the original Ouisies on Sunset; Panjo's Pizza in Town & Country; James Coney Island the way it waS in the 80s

Davon D E Robinson: food and wine blogger, freelance writer with CultureMap:
I agree with Strawberry Patch and Luke's. I'd also like to add Vargo's (the long ago, heyday version--delish) as well.

Renia Butler, food blogger with Gristle & Gossip:
Checkers
