Southern Living magazine announced its list of "50 People Who Are Changing the South in 2015." Representing Houston, proprietor/bartender Bobby Heugel and PJ Stoops, well-regarded fishmonger. Known for his part in the popularization of Gulf Coast bycatch and "in turn changing Texas seafood", Stoops is preparing for executive chef duties at forthcoming Foreign Correspondents set to open this spring. Heugel and his restaurant /bar group Clumsy Butcher opened two bars last year, Julep and The Nightingale Room and is set to do even bigger things in the new year. On his lengthy agenda: launching a site to help aspiring bartenders to open their own bars, a cocktail book and (fingers crossed) more new concepts.
