Chef Aquiles Chavez was rumored to have plans of expanding his La Fisheria Mexican seafood spot in the Heights by adding a second locale in downtown Houston. As it turns out, Eater has learned from staff that in fact the original Heights location will be closed by the end of the month and will be relocating the entire operation to the new home.
The former night club space at 213 Milam Street will be the new home of La Fisheria, and plans to have just one or two weeks of downtime for the transition and be "up and running by the second week of November" staff said.
Stay tuned as we get further details of the menu, space and notable changes such as street parking in downtown.
