Halloween weekend is upon us and there is no shortage of festivities for Houstonians. Mark your calendars, ready your best costumes and make up and be sure to check out some of these haunted happenings around town.

Hotel ZaZa, 5701 Main St. — Don't miss ZaZa's annual Halloween bash on Saturday at 10 P.M. Rock your best costume and enjoy drink specials, late night bites and entertainment by the one and only Lady Bunny! Tickets are $75 per person and foundhere.

Julep, 1919 Washington Ave. — Julep presents Shipwrecked!, a pirate-themed costume party with a $1,000 payoff. Judges John Letoto of Blacksmith, Fluff Bake Bar's Rebecca Masson and Janiz Frago of Terroir Selections will commence judging at 10 P.M., when contestants walk the plank to present their costumes to the judges. Market Square Park — If a Halloween pub crawl is more your speed, then head to Market Square Park in the Historic District with some of Houston's best cocktail lounges and bars are all stumbling distance from each other including Batanga, Bovine & Barley, Foxheart's Bad News Bar, The Commoner and The Honeymoon to name a few. MKT Bar, 1001 Austin St. — The downtown outpost of Phoenicia presents, Get Your Ghoul On! from 7PM - 1AM. Admission is free but you can snag VIP tickets are $12 and include light Halloween bites, and there will be a cash bar for Halloween themed beverages and desserts. Dance the night away with live music by George West, Mario Rodriguez and DJ Tempty plus enter to win a costume contest with prizes. Scoop your tickets here.

Prohibition Supper Club, 1008 Prarie Street — The vintage theater and supper club downtown is hosting it's Halloween show, The Masque of the Red Death. While the Moonlight Dolls razzle and dazzle, you will enjoy a three course meal and cocktails. Tickets for the show start at $10 and the pre-fixe dinner at $45 and can be snagged up here.

TABLE On Post Oak, 1800 Post Oak Blvd. — TABLE on Post Oak will host a dressed up Halloween party of indulgence and delight sponsored by Veuve Clicquot and Roca Patron on Saturday from 6 to 11 P.M. Guests can enjoy a live DJ, costume contests, door prizes, and cocktails & lite bites. Complimentary valet included, call713-439-1000 to make a reservation.

Tarakaan, 2301 Main St. — Starting on Saturday, October 31, and continuing through Sunday, Tarakaan will begin their weekend long Halloween celebration - because why confine festivities to one evening? Kick off the weekend on Halloween night with their vampire bash including a costume contest and DJ James Reed. Drink specials include $60 bottles of Moet and $9 Bloody Berry Martinis. On Sunday come casually chic or post trick or treat and cure your Halloween hangover at the launch of Tarakaan's Sunday brunch with a special $30 menu.

Voodoo Queen, 322 Milby St. — East End's favorite ghoulish cocktail bar invites you to party Halloween night with tricks, treats, drink specials and a late set with Danneurysm. Costumed patrons will also get 1/2 price po'boy's. More info here.
