A little more than six months ago Shannon Scott and his wife opened the doors on Sud Italia, their reincarnation of personal travels to southern Italy. What's unique about the regional fare is the incorporation of more seafood and Mediterranean ingredients found in the lower coastal region of Italy. In fact, teh restaurant has already made it's way to our heatmap this year.
Shannon has just announced the hiring of a new executive chef, Ale "Sandro" Scarafile who's already taken his position at the helm of the kitchen. Chef Sandro is a native of Bari, Italy, and has over 15 years of culinary experience under his belt ranging from kitchens in both Europe and the Caribbean. Diners can expect to see chef Sandro working with the main ingredients of southern Italy - olive oil, tomatoes, eggplant, artichokes, peppers, mushrooms, olives, seasonal vegetables and fresh seafood.
"We are excited for him to incorporate his innovative ideas and knowledge of southern Italian cuisine into our highly regarded menus."
