Ronald (Ron) Roznovsky, proprietor of Roznovsky's Hamburgerspassed away Sunday, February 8 at the age of 63. The Houston native was best known as the All-American baseball player for University of Texas who pitched a no-hitter against Texas Lutheran in 1973, but his family's burgers are stuff of legends in the Oak Forest/Garden Oaks neighborhood. Roznovsky and wife Debby took over the hamburger restaurant started by Ron's father Louis Roznovsky. Originally Roznovsky's Grocery at 5719 Birdsall, the burgers were the store's claim to fame and remain a Houston favorite to this very day.

A memorial service will be held
Thursday, February 12 at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church (2003 W. 43rd Street) at 2 p.m. In place of flowers, the Roznovsky family are requesting donations for a memorial fund in Ronald's name.
