Despite Fort Bend Brewing Co.'s exit from the market, Houston's beer scene continues to thrive. Case in point, 11 Below Brewing Company, expected to open in March, according to Houston Business Journal. After encountering several setbacks and change of name, it is on track to bring its hoppy elixers to the masses.
As everything falls into place and construction near completions, the Williowbrook-area brewery now has signage at its warehouse facilities within Four Season Business Park, a sure sign it's ready to start filling the mugs of anxious beer enthusiasts. The logo consists of the brewery's name — derived by subtracting the number of gallons in a barrel of crude oil (42) from the gallons in a barrel of beer (31), a clever angle founders Bryce Baker, Jeff Handojo, and Brandon Moss' incorporated from their oilfield and engineering background.
Once open, 11 Below Brewing will target Cypress-Fairbanks, Tomball and Champions, serving a red IPA and amber ale with rye.
