Local Foods Grows with Third Location in Tanglewood

Good news for fans of sandwich purveyor Local Foods: a third restaurant is in the work, reports Houston Chronicle. Having opened  a location in Rice Village and expanding into Upper Kirby last year, owner Benjy Levit (Benjy's in the Village and Benjy's on Washington) recently signed a lease for a space further west. Local Food's third outpost will be located on the ground floor of the Gables Tanglewood at 5740 San Felipe where Dish Society also resides. In addition to the fresh sandwiches and salads, the Tanglewood restaurant will also offer pizza from a wood-burning oven. Local Foods is expected to open in October.
