Randy Evans Now Consulting at Gastropub Local Pour in The Woodlands

Look for locally sourced food on the menu alongside a curated roster of craft beers.

Southern Son Consulting

Beer pairings are all the rage these days but here's an unexpected pairing that's headed to The Woodlands: Chef Randy Evans has signed on as a consulting chef for Local Pour, Hospitality USA's forthcoming beer pub in The Woodlands.

Evans has been quite busy lately providing consultation services through Southern Son Consultancy. He's consulted with James Coney Island, H-E-B's Table 57 Dining & Drinks and soon-to-open Ocean Grille & Beach Bar in Galveston. This time around marks Evans' second time working with the Houston-based restaurant group who also owns Baker St. Bar & Grill and Sherlock’s Pub. Having revamped the menu at Local Pour's River Oaks' outpost, Evans is doing the same for The Woodlands.

Although beer is the main focal point at Local Pour, with Evans' assistance, the food will share the same billing. Emphasizing locally sourced meats and other Texas-raised food, the menu receives an overhaul with additions exclusively available at Local Pour's Hughes Landing location in The Woodlands. Dishes to expect include Korean Pork Lollipop appetizers, Herb Roasted Wood Grilled Chicken for an entrée and Walnut Pesto Pasta Primavera, nearly all locally sourced from nearby 44 Farms, Atkinson Farms, Lawler Foods and Axis Venison.

Local Pour is one of several new eateries opening on Hughes Landing's Restaurant Row.  Among the upcoming restaurants is Del Frisco's Grille, the more casual version of its sister steakhouse Del Frisco's Steakhouse, expected to open in May.
