It's been several months since steamed bun purveyor Fat Bao revealed its plans for Ka Restaurant, the forthcoming sushi concept heading to the Heights, and that's too long. Luckily, Ka is satisfying everyone's curiosity with an update on its build-out that began this winter.
Located in the North Shepherd shopping center with ice cream parlor neighbor Fat Cat Creamery and H-Town StrEATS' soon-to-open-any-day-now Hugs & Donuts, Ka originally expected to open in March. Judging by the above pictures, a late spring or early summer debut seems to be more realistic.
Owner/chef Pak Tsui envisions a laid-back environment and is bringing his creative, fun fusion dishes to the forthcoming sushi spot. Once construction is near completion, expect word of preview pop-ups to come.
