Looks like you will have to wait a while longer for Jinya Ramen Bar in Midtown, at least for now. The long-awaited noodle shop previously announced an opening date of March 5 last week, but has since extended the date by two weeks.
Surprisingly, building permits and inspection codes aren't to blame this time around, as is usually the case when concerning restaurant delays. In a Facebook announcement late Friday evening, the restaurant stated the cause is due to an issue involving CenterPoint Energy.
The new opening date is scheduled for Monday, March 16 at 11 a.m. In the meantime, if you're really jonesin' for a bowl, make the trek to the restaurant's Webster location.
