2) Casian King Food Truck

Rolling the streets of Houston, is this newest food truck to hit the scene. Offering a fusion of Vietnamese and Cajun cuisines, must-try-dishes include Cajun lobster roll and beef bulgogi taco.
3) Equilibrium Social House
Opened: March 4
Formerly Boulevard Coffee and Waldo's Coffee House, this charming java dispensary serves more than just freshly brewed cups of joe. The renovated coffee house also offers pastries, sandwiches, pizzas and salads. Look for empanadas to grace the menu soon.

4) Dish Society
Opened: March 17
The health-food focused eatery now has a second outpost in Katy's LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch. Serving a seasonal menu, the restaurant offers salads, chicken pot pies and a variety of tempting dishes. In addition to breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch, Dish Society also offers happy hour with specially crafted cocktails.

5) Jane and John Dough Bakery
Opened: February 17
Tomball's sweetest addition is dishing out a mix of sweet and savory artisan hand-crafted baked goods from its new brick-and-mortar location. Fusing a bit of the East Coast (Philadelphia style pretzels) with Pacific Northwest and a dash of the South, owners/chefs Jane Wild and John Blankemeyer's pastry arsenal never ends. Standouts include the pretz-a’lache (a pretzel and kolache hybrid stuffed with fruit fillings), chocolate pretzel roll and apple nautilus pretzel roll.
