On Monday, chef Shannen Tune of Revolve Kitchen + Bar hosts some of the city’s hottest bartenders in Haute le Pour, a cocktail competition complete with live music and complimentary light bites. The free event is open to the public, giving guests a unique opportunity to watch and cheer on local talents Gregg Alston (Kiran’s), Eliud Balderas (Boheme), Lainey Collum (Prohibition), Chris Frankel (Spare Key), Chelsea Hylton (Yellow Rose Distillery), Kimberly Paul (Etoile), and Reggie Tucker (Sanctuari Bar) as they vie for honor and bragging rights.

The challengers will each mix their own favorites plus create a brand new drink featuring a yet-to-be-named secret ingredient. Local culinary media will judge the boozy bash and guests are encouraged to sample the goods. "We have been playing around with the idea of having a mixology competition for awhile now," said Tune. "We started to reach out to some bartenders in town to gauge interest and the next thing we knew we had an all-star line-up committed to participating."

RSVP to or call 713.297.4327 for more details. Self-park and valet will be available. The event happens Monday, April 20 from 6 to 8 p.m.
