The Del Will Have Ping Pong and a Putting Green

The swanky cocktail bar and restaurant readies for Galleria.

It’s still hardhat time inside The Del, the new restaurant coming from Studewood Hospitality Group of Glass Wall and Brooklyn Athletic Club fame. To quickly refresh: this is the sleek cocktail-forward spot — serving upscale bar food like lobster wraps and steaks — that owner Shepard Ross wants to open in Galleria. Ross says the build-out and permitting are moving forward on schedule. While the original opening was anticipated for early summer, now Ross is refining that ETA to July.

On the menu, expect to see a few signature dishes from Glass Wall and Brooklyn Athletic Club along with all new lunch, brunch and dinner menu options. They'll feature a full service bar inside. Outside, there's an all-weather covered patio space for dining and drinks. There is a also a RecDeck featuring large, flat screen televisions for sports viewing and a gaming area with putting green, ping pong and bean bags.

"SHG builds neighborhood concepts and we recognized the need for a place that’s close to home for westsiders to want to frequent several times a week," Ross said. "We are excited to branch out into new neighborhoods and introduce our brand of hospitality to more Houstonians."

The Del will be open for lunch and dinner, Monday through Friday, and for brunch and dinner, Saturday and Sunday.
