Sushi isn't the only item on the menu at Washington Corridor's Soma Sushi. Once focused on Franco-Japanese cuisine, nowadays the restaurant is dishing out Southeast Asian fare alongside bowls of delicious ramen.
Last month, executive chef Gabriel Medina launched a new dining series to spotlight various regions of Southeast Asia. He highlighted Vietnam in March and shines the spotlight on Singapore and Malaysia throughout April. Look for Korean and Filipino dishes in May and June respectively.
Medina gets in on the Tastemade action, the phone application where food lovers shoot videos of restaurants, and gives viewers a glimpse into Soma Sushi's kitchen. It's worth checking out, that is if the cook dancing — who dances quite well, by the way — in the background doesn't distract you.
