Texadelphia Shutters After 20 Years; What's Up Cupcake Closes in the Heights

GALLERIA — After receiving multiple tips Swamplot reported Texadelphia, the Texas cheesesteak sports bar, has closed its Houston location. The Tex-Mex-Philly hybrid restaurant had been open for close to 20 years. No one yet knows why it's gone. [Swamplot]

GALLERIA EXTRA — Don't worry, Big Woodrows is only closed for renovations. Houston Press looked into the temporary closure of the Chimney Rock location, which plans to open again in August — just in time for football season. [Houston Press]

HEIGHTSWhat's Up Cupcake, once Airstream trailer then bakery located at 632 West 20th in the Heights, is closing after five years. Houston Press reports owners of the sweet spot left a note notifying customers of their closure on the bakery's front door because they weren't able to renew their lease. [Houston Press]

THE WOODLANDS Jamba Juice at the Woodland's Market Street location closed at the end of May. After a phone call to Market Street's line, no one has yet put in an offer to lease the vacant space. [EaterWire]
