Exotic Meats at Cuchara; New Coffeehouse in First Ward

Marinated iguana for dad, a rumored coffeehouse in the First Ward, and Asgard Games eyes a beer and wine license.

FIRST WARD — At the end of January, BLANK SLATE Tattoo Removal, left the space beside Café Brussels. Now, it appears in it's place will be a beer-and-wine-serving cafe, Cafeza at 1720 Houston Ave. Calls to TABC for further information have been made. UPPER KIRBY — Board game and hobby store Asgard Games recently applied for a beer and wine license — meaning you're game night of Magic: The Gathering just got a lot more interesting, or a lot more bearable. [EaterWire]

MIDTOWN Cuchara will be serving iguana marinated in olive oil, guajillo chile and vinegar, this weekend in celebration of Father's Day. The exotic meat is not so uncommon as a dish for southern Mexico and parts of Central America. [Chron]
