Morning Roundup, Crescent City Beignets and White Oak's Biskit Junkie are officially open plus more news you might have missed.

MONTROSE — Dever-based Breakfast-chain Snooze an A.M. Eatery, is headed to Montrose. The restaurant chain will be located in an approximately 3,700 sq. ft. space and is expected to open early 2016. Snooze is known for their creative and "fresh twist on American's favorite classics," according to their website, but is also philanthropic and community-minded. And they serve breakfast cocktails. HILCROFT — Excellent news for Cajun food fans, Crescent City Beignets (6383 Westheimer) has officially reopened at a new location. The beignet cafe shuttered over a year ago at their location in River Oaks, but has since found a new home in the former Dickey's Barbecue Pit further down Westheimer. Nothing has been removed from the former menu, however a few new items like the Presidential gumbo and several new poboys have been added. Linda Benoit, who runs the franchise location told the Chronicle another location will soon open in the same strip center as H-E-B on Fountainview and San Felipe in the next few months. OAK FOREST — From the owners of Jus'Mac the new breakfast concept, Biskit Junkie (2925 W. T.C. Jester), has opened in White Oak and features Southern classic, the biscuit, but with inventive and creative American cuisine toppings. Try the Juvenile (candied bacon, fried green tomatoes, iceberg lettuce and remoulade sauce). Eater Houston recently spoke with owner Patrick Alvarez about plans for Biskit Junkie: "We have a dozen or more combinations that will eventually be revealed but for now we're keeping the menu tight and becoming more efficient within the kitchen," Alvarez said. "We also will be weighing the option of adding a dinner service. We would like to be enjoyed by all. Over the next couple months expect to see some surprises but for now its about perfecting Biskit Junkie." [EHOU]
