Anvil Returns; The Centurion Lounge Plans Landing at IAH

Anvil's short closing comes to an end, Woodrows Heights is being re-born into The Durham House Cajun & Craft, plus more news you might have missed.

IAH AIRPORT The Centurion Lounge will open its seventh location at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in terminal D. The 8,500 sq. ft. lounge is slated to open in 2016. "We set out to create a network of lounges for our Card Members that give them an amazing experience that is head and shoulders above what you typically find in a domestic lounge," said Lisa Durocher, Senior Vice President of Charge Cards and Benefits, American Express. The lounge will offer swanky options like private showers, tranquility areas and access to high-speed Wi-Fi, along with a complimentary full bar and food buffet. [EaterWire]

The speciality cocktail lounge offered patrons an extensive list of possible bars to attend during minor renovations, but we're happy to report the Westheimer cocktail lounge, has re-opened. HEIGHTS — Woodrows Heights is currently closed for renovations, but will reopen shortly with a new name (The Durham House Cajun & Craft) and a new look. The 25-year old establishment is being completely transformed, chef Don Schoenburg told Eric Sandler, "It's going to be a whole new restaurant." [Culturemap]
