Gelazzi is a fantastic gelato spot in the Heights which most people know by the giant "Greetings From Houston" mural painted outside.  Now, they will know it for the Connie's Pizza, that will be served there starting January 22.  Connie's, has been serving the best of Chicago's deep dish pizzas since 1963.

Most Chicagoans and Chicago expatriates in Texas know about Connie's Pizza. A tradition since 1963, Connie's has become part of Chicago's history. From being the official pizza of the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Cubs, The Taste of Chicago, and Lollapalooza, the Connie's name has become synonymous with the city, and takes pride in its longstanding family roots. Connie's has locations in some of Chicago's most-visited venues including McCormick Place, Navy Pier, State Street in the Heart of the Gold Coast, and on Archer Avenue in Chinatown.

Gelazzi, is the popular gelateria next to the iconic Greetings from Houston Mural. Since opening, Gelazzi has earned a somewhat fanatical following in Houston. On evenings and weekends there's often a line out the door to get a taste of what many claim is the best gelato outside of Italy. Flavors like pistachio, lemon ice, fig mascarpone, and sea salt caramel sell out fast.

We expect this to be a match made in (Chicago) heaven.
