Galleria — Houston's own Peli Peli, the South African buzzed restaurant in the Galleria will be busier than usual this week as they host a viewing party for Wednesday's episode of CNBC's Restaurant Startup of which the hometown favorites are contestants. Get your tickets and cheer them on here.  Actually it's a double feature for Peli Peli  - catch them on Tuesday as they host a wine pairing dinner with the Uptown Tasting Room.

Houston — The city's beloved Houston Texans has started selling the first ever team cookbook later this year with nearly 60 recipes from J.J. Watt and company, reported CultureMap.  "It's neat to be able to share these recipes with so many people, outside of our friends and family," said Amanda Weeks, wife of Texans long snapper and 2016 Pro-Bowler Jon Weeks. She shared three recipes, including Lemon Vanilla Cake Cookies, Zucchini Panko Fries and Truffled Mac n' Cheese. Order here.

Heights — Foreign Correspondent's PJ Stoops has made the list of Garden & Gun Magazine's "Southern Hot List" for 2016. This is not just a list of top chefs, but a "who's who" of Southern talent and rising stars. Stoops appears in a the section called "The Kitchen Magicians" which recognizes seven innovative and passionate chefs with innovative new restaurants. Well done, Mr. Stoops.
