Bernadine's has been a well-received addition to the already buzzing Heights area since opening last year next to it's adjoining concept, Hunky Dory. Chef Graham Laborde welcomes the new year with two new menus for lunch and dinner.

The restaurant introduces lunch service Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. (brunch same times on the weekend), with menus offering starters like Fried Oyster Salad with grilled greens, champagne vinaigrette, and pecorino romano and Cornbread Cauliflower Panzanella made with roasted winter vegetables and mushrooms.

Laborde's main dishes include a Fried Chicken Sandwich with pimento cheese, Bibb lettuce, and pickled red onion; Fried Green Tomato Po-Boy with jicama slaw, ravigote, sunflower seeds, and sprouts; and a Cheeseburger made a house blend of chuck and brisket, Texas toast, housemade pickles, grilled onions cooked in dry aged beef fat, lettuce, and tomato.
