According to their website, founders Debra Shwetz and Dena Tripp started Nothing Bundt Cakes in Las Vegas in 1997, simply to please their family and friends. Nearly ten years later, the little cake shop out West has expanded their reach nationally and they don't seem to be slowing down any time soon. With already ten locations in the greater Houston area, Nothing Bundt Cakes is celebrating the grand opening of the latest location in Pasadena next week (already open for business).
There are three days of festivities starting on the 14th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. and on Friday the 15th enjoy bubbles and bundts with free champagne and cake during their M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Benefit Day with 20% of sales being donated to support appendiceal cancer research at M.D. Anderson.
The really sweet deal is on Saturday January 16th where opening because they will offer "Free Bundtlets for a Year" for the first 50 guests with purchase. That's a lotta cake.
