If you’re a big fan of Galleria meat haven Mo’s...A Place For Steaks, today brings some pretty terrible news.
Announced via release, Mo’s will close its doors at the end of the month after more than a decade. The restaurant didn’t cite any specific reasons for the closure, though Mo’s hasn’t exactly seen a lot of change in the past ten years. “We would like to thank all the wonderful people of Houston for supporting Mo's throughout the years,” said owner Johnny Vassallo in a statement.
Despite the closure, Mo’s plans to go out with a bang. On October 27, the restaurant will host a farewell party complete with live music and an appearance from Johnny V himself. On October 28 and 29, Mo’s will host a massive Halloween shindig featuring cash prizes, booze specials, and (of course) a costume contest.
There are also outposts of Mo’s in Milwaukee, WI and Indianapolis, IN, but it appears as if those restaurants will remain open. As CultureMap notes, the restaurant’s sister concept Mo’s Irish Pub will not be affected by the closure.
