It’s been a long wait, but Houston’s culinary scene is about to get a serious boost from none other than the country’s most famous roving gourmand, Anthony Bourdain. Earlier this year, Bourdain visited Houston to film an episode of his CNN show Parts Unknown, and we’ve finally got our first glimpse at what it will showcase.
CNN just released a couple of teaser videos for Parts Unknown’s Houston-focused episode, and it looks like it’s going to be a killer. According to the trailer’s description, the episode will feature Bourdain exploring Houston’s cuisine “beyond Tex-Mex and barbecue,” and that his research will reveal a “wonderfully strange, diverse city.”
The episode is set to air on October 30, and a number of Houston bars and restaurants will host watch parties so that you can collectively decide whether or not Bourdain did a good job of showing off the city. Stay tuned for more details on where you can watch the show with your fellow Houston food snobs.
