Sanrio enthusiasts and lovers of all things kawaii, take note — the Hello Kitty Café truck is headed back to Houston.
The Instagram-friendly truck will be making stops this month at The Woodlands Mall (April 10) a.m. to 7 p.m.) and the Baybrook Mall (April 17) in Friendswood. The Hello Kitty Cafe truck most recently came to Houston last June, slinging kawaii snacks and limited-edition Sanrio collectibles like enamel pin sets and rainbow-emblazoned thermoses. Since its debut in 2014, the Hello Kitty Cafe truck has made a number of stops in Houston as part of its cross-country tour that has covered upwards of 80 cities in the United States.
Fans of the iconic Japanese cartoon character can look forward to giant, hand-decorated Hello Kitty-shaped cookies, madeleine cookie sets, and bow-shaped water bottles. Cookie-shaped plushes and t-shirts will also be on offer, along with other goodies.
And because the COVID-19 pandemic is not yet over, the truck will require staff to wear masks and encourage visitors to observe social distancing guidelines. The Hello Kitty Café truck will set up from 10 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Woodlands Mall on April 10. Same hours apply when it pops up at Baybrook Mall on April 17.
