Continuing their takeover of Houston’s casual dining scene, The Union Kitchen has announced plans to expand — again.
Announced via release, Gr8 Plate Hospitality will open a fifth outpost of the popular neighborhood eatery at 920 Westcott Street inside Elan Memorial Park. The announcement comes on the heels of the arrival of The Union Kitchen’s fourth outpost, which just opened its doors about two weeks ago.
The restaurant will occupy a 5,100 square-foot space on the ground floor of the ritzy apartment building, complete with patio and private dining room. It’s a pretty obvious addition to Washington Ave’s bustling dining scene, joining popular spot Benjy’s and Max’s Wine Dive.
The Westcott outpost of The Union Kitchen is currently in the earliest stages, with plans to debut in late Summer or Fall 2017. If you can’t wait, you can always just head to one of growing chain’s four other Houston-area locations for your Frito chili mac fix.
