KHOU reports that it took between 50 and 60 firefighters to battle the blaze, though ultimately it appears that the building is a total loss. — After shuttering The El, Delicious Concepts has rebranded the restaurant at 602 Studewood as Ritual, a concept that will pair “New Gulf Coast cuisine” from Chef Crash Hethcox and fancy cocktails prepared with scratch-made mixers and boutique spirits from beverage director Peter Clifton. The “nose-to-tail” restaurant will prominently feature butchery and dry-aged meats, and is set to make its official debut on November 29.
