Since its debut, Local Foods has been slowly (but surely) growing its healthy food empire in Houston. Soon, they’ll continue that growth at the forthcoming Heights Mercantile.

Swamplot reports that permits have been issued for Local Foods to begin construction on the stall inside Heights Mercantile at 714 Yale. The chain currently operates three locations in Houston’s Rice Village, Upper Kirby, and Tanglewood neighborhoods. In addition to the forthcoming Heights location, along with a Downtown outpost that is also in the works.

Local Foods joins Melange Creperie at Heights Mercantile. Back in September, we learned that the roving crepe cart would make its first permanent home in a 1,400 square foot space, complete with green space and patio. Melange is set to open in early 2017, which may provide a clue into when Local Foods will make its debut in the Heights.
