Black & White Has Shuttered In Order To Complete Pre-Super Bowl Renovations

For the past few months, Houston restaurants have started working fiercely to prepare for the influx of people that next year’s Super Bowl hosted at NRG Stadium will inevitably bring. Back in September, Corner Table shut down in order to get ready for the big game, and now it appears as if Black & White has followed suit.

A post to Black & White’s Facebook page indicates that the restaurant has closed its doors for the rest of the year in order to remodel the space at 1001 Studewood ahead of the Super Bowl. Most curious is the restaurant’s plan to “rebrand,” which may or may not mean a new name or new cuisine.

The Houston Chronicle points to Black & White’s Yelp page, which suggests that the restaurant will re-open on January 31. That plan doesn’t exactly give Black & White much time to get back in the groove before Super Bowl LI hits Houston on Sunday, February 5.

Stay tuned for more updates on what the new Black & White will look like when it comes back after the big makeover.
