After a massive renovation, Hungry’s new bar & lounge concept is set to ring in the New Year with its big debut.
Announced via release, Upstairs at Hungry’s will kick open the doors on New Year’s Eve to show off its “sophisticated and comfortable home-away-from-home feel.” The newly-updated Upstairs will offer a full bar, killer views of the Houston skyline, and of course, Hungry’s much-beloved food menu.
The industrial-inspired bar itself, designed by Palmer Schooley, is decidedly a stunner thanks to its zinc-topped bar, exposed brick reclaimed from the original building, and industrial lighting alongside cozy banquettes, loveseats, and armchairs.
“We created Upstairs as a place to unwind and celebrate special occasions and there's no better occasion than New Year's Eve to begin creating memories at our new bar and lounge,” says Hungry’s owner Ashkan Nowamooz. Perhaps most importantly, though, the new offering brings a year-round, climate-controlled patio option to Houston that will no doubt be packed on chilly (and ridiculously hot) days.
Hungry’s is currently taking reservations for its big grand opening bash on New Year’s Eve, complete with a prix-fixe dinner and afterparty to follow. Party packages range from $55 to $750, depending on how much champagne you’re going to need.
