When you're watching Chopped, it's always sad to see a chef get eliminated from the competition. This week, that disappointment is going to hit a little closer to home as three of Houston's finest chefs duke it out for the title of Chopped champion.

On Thursday, March 17, Food Network will air an episode of Chopped titled "The Bold and the Baconful," in which all three chef competitors will hail from Houston, no doubt a first for the show. The episode's description doesn't list the chefs competing, but does lay out the meaty challenge before them:

In the first basket, the chefs are shocked to find that a certain fun food has been wrapped in bacon, and in round two, the three remaining competitors present pork and noodle dishes. Then, one of the final chefs looks very proud of a bold chance he took with his dessert, but will the judges agree that his final plate is both creative and delicious?

Chef Justin Turner is one confirmed contestant and you can cheer him on at Bernie's Burger Bus in Bellaire on Thursday, where Turner will host a viewing party with $3 local beers. The festivities kick off at 7 p.m.
